SK is pleased to be a part of a forthcoming event with ProjectArt, an organization that links with individuals and communities across America to help better lives through art. If you're in Los Angeles and would like to attend, tickets and further information are available here.

ProjectArt works against what they refer to as a "creativity crisis—" over four million elementary school children do not have access to art programs in or out of school, which in turn negatively effects numerous other aspects of their life—including their academic performance.

Their work is tireless: the organization allows for people ages four through seventeen to take after-school art programs and classes that they wouldn't otherwise have access to. It also provides emerging artists with studio spaces, compensation, and access to programs such as artist lectures. And there's more! They link together with public libraries to provide opportunities for year-round, complimentary education in numerous visual arts fields, as well as exhibition programing. On top of all of this, ProjectArt hosts annual exhibitions of the works created by the youth and emerging fine artists who are involved. Needless to say, their work is a constellation of selflessness, education, equalization, and beauty.

We're honored to be taking part in the forthcoming annual benefit for the organization, which is titled 'My Kid Could do That,' and will feature artists including Ed Ruscha, Jordan Wolfson, Dwyer Kilcollin, Doug Aitken, and Lita Albuqurque. As the name would have it, the works were created by the artists when they were kids—think a drawing by Ed Ruscha at age seven, a work that Charles Arnoldi made in first grade, and a drawing by Jim Shaw at age seventeen. See the works in person! Tickets are available here. We are also honored to be donating a Spinelli Kilcollin Chloe ring from to the silent auction.

ProjectArt currently exists in cities including Los Angeles, New York, Miami, and Chicago.
